Since my post decorate your home for fall I have been on a Fall frenzy letting my pinterest addiction get the best of me, and aside from finishing my foyer, which I’m almost done with by the way (YAY), giving my home a fall makeover is my new MO. I actually got up in the attic yesterday and started pulling out all of my fall decorations so I could see what I had to work with and figure out what I needed to buy and of course, DIY. I came down from the attic with little to nothing; I don’t know what I was hoping for, I knew I didn’t have a ton of stuff but I could have sworn I had more than I did. In my moment of disappointment I grabbed my purse and went on a mission to find more fall décor. I was hoping to go to Hobby Lobby, I think they have the absolute best seasonal decorations, but by the time I got there they were closed, so I went to Marshalls instead. I could have bought the entire fall décor section, but being the bugetista that I am I was not going to spend all of my money in one place, atleast not until I saw what Hobby Lobby had to offer first, so I only ended up buying four things. I plan to go to Hobby Lobby later in the week, so I’ll have more to share then.
Here is what I came home with
Cream Metal Shabby Chic Lantern ($19.99) it was more than I wanted to spend on one item, but I just had to have it. I put an old candle, leaf and a few pine cones inside the lantern.
Small White Ceramic Owl ($4.99) I’m not sure where I want to display this but I thought it was cute so I’ll find somewhere to put it
Engraved Wooden Pumpkin ($14.99) I love this pumpkin, I need two of them because I’m planning to display them on a set of Candle Holders on my fireplace mantle. Now I have to go on a hunt to find another one.
Red Apples ($6.99) I’m going to Mod Podge Epsom salt on a few of the apples to give them a glittery look and then display them all in a decorative bowl with a few pine cones.
I’m going to post a pictures and a tutorial of my Epsom Salt Frosted Apple display in my next post, so stay tuned!
