Burlap and Lace Mason Jars are the perfect addition to any Rustic, Shabby Chic or Vintage inspired Wedding, Bridal Shower, Baby
Shower or as part of your everyday décor. Burlap & Lace Mason jars are extremely versatile, as there are so many ways to incorporate them into your home, wedding or event.
Here are a few ideas of how you can use Burlap & Lace Mason jars.
- Utensil holders at a shabby chic or rustic inspired party, baby shower or event (We used burlap and lace mason jars to hold the wooden utensils at my shabby chic baby shower this past summer).
- Centerpieces for a wedding. After the ceremony you can use burlap & lace mason jars to display the bridesmaid’s bouquets.
- Everyday décor – Add flowers and display them on your mantel, kitchen table or coffee table.
I am a huge fan of Burlap & Lace Mason jars. I add season flowers and display them throughout my home.We also used Burlap & Lace Mason Jars to hold the wooden utensils at my shabby chic baby shower, so I’m thrilled to share a tutorial on how you can make your own!
Also, I recently started an etsy shop, I haven’t added a lot of items yet, as I’m just getting it started, however I have these Burlap & Lace Mason jars for sale, so if you don’t have time to make your own or just prefer to buy them here is the link to my new etsy shop.
Okay, lets get started!
Here is what you will need:
- Burlap
- Lace
- Mason Jar
- Twine
- Hot Glue Gun
- Fray Check
Step 1: Measure around your Mason Jar
Step 2: Measure how wide you want your burlap to be. I wanted mine to cover the entire wide area of the Mason Jar
Step 3: After you determine the size of your piece of Burlap (Mine ended up being 3″ x 10.5″ ) cut your burlap to your desired size and then apply Fray Check around all of the edges to keep it from fraying.
Step 4: Glue your Burlap around your Mason Jar
Step 5: Cut a piece of lace ribbon the same length as your burlap and glue it in the center of your Burlap
Step 6: Take a piece of twine and wrap it around the center of your Mason Jar several times and then tie it in a bow
Now you have a beautiful Rustic Inspired Vase that you can use for an event or as part of your home decor
Here are a few of the additional styles of Burlap & Lace Mason Jars I’ve Made
Until next time….
